MAISON GABRIEL MEFFRE’S STRATEGIC PROJECT 2017-2021: “Be a leading winery established in the Rhone Valley, strongly commited to sustainable development & wine growing in the region”

As we have celebrated our 80th Anniversary this year,  the management team has provided an ambitious 5-year strategic project. This plan reflects the winery’s ambition to be a reference in the Rhone Valley, recognized for its prestigious Domaines & Parcel selections, its successful & innovative brands, its pioneer work in sustainable development and commitment to wine growing within the region.

As the Gabriel Meffre Winery was recognized “Socially Responsible” with the “Level 3 – Confirmed” of the AFAQ 26000 evaluation in June 2015, Eric Brousse, CEO & Etienne Maffre, Managing Director have formalized an ambitious 5-year strategic project that combines top performance and sustainability. “This project formalizes in a concrete manner our ambition and the means to achieve it. says Etienne Maffre “It gives us a clear direction. Elaborated with our team, it is also shared with our stakeholders .”

This strategic ambition is built around 4 core principles :
–          Secure the long-term growth & development of our winery through internal and external expansion,
–          Unite the team  in a sound & ethical development project,
–          Strenghten the Winery’s reputation, driven by the quality of its wines & best practices,
–          Give meaning to a development closely related to sustainability issues, focus of concern for the Winery & achieving the “Level 4            Exemplarity” of the AFAQ 26000 evaluation in 2018.

For Eric Brousse, CEO: “Our Winery has many specificities which makes us very proud. We want to put them forward as driving forces to reach our goals. We will focus on our  historical anchorage in the Rhone Valley, in Gigondas ; our expertise as producer, recognized by professionals and our capacity to create innovative brands widely appreciated by consumers.”
